Where's The Waldo Blessing?

Dear Chocolatiers, I’m not sure about you, but I’ve never been into those books called Where’s Waldo. I remember as a kid getting so frustrated trying to sift through hundreds of little images looking for some crazy kid with a striped hat. I couldn’t understand the satisfaction of finding Waldo only to turn the page to try and find him again. And usually, each page that you advance to in the where’s Waldo book, it got increasingly more difficult to find Waldo! Recently, I thought that a blessing had come to my door. However, what really happened was an opportunity for doubt, confusion, and a lot of questioning. It seemed as though God brought the blessing but then, I would have to search through all of those Waldo pages just to receive it! Something’s got to give! It was a hard lesson to have to learn that I don’t have to search for God’s blessing. He will bring his blessing to me! Look with me at some characters in the Bible to prove this point. Can you imagine if God told King David, “listen David, I’ll give you the victory over Goliath, but first you have to chase him through out the land, while you a aim your slingshot and rock between his eyes”? What if God told you and I “Okay, I’m going to provide a plan of salvation for you but before I do I want you to sort through this entire list of religious world leaders and you tell me which one can save you”. Absolutely not! Just as David got the victory over Goliath face to face, God delivered you and I directly from death through his son Jesus Christ. We didn’t have to go searching for the blessing, the blessing came directly to us right where we were. Sometimes it’s hard to be real. Sometimes it’s challenging to live a life with Christian character. Having to admit that I didn’t have the self-control to wait for God’s blessing to come directly to me was a very difficult lesson. Ladies, we are God’s children. What parent doesn’t want to bless their child? What I need to remember is to live in God’s will for my life, be content and patient with what he is doing in me, and be obedient to him. Don’t waste your time and energy looking for a Waldo blessing when you could have God’s. Here’s the scripture verse to meditate on: James 1:12 “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” Amen!! Have a victorious week! Love, Dede
