Relationship with JESUS is the key to FREEDOM!

I grew up in church as a born again believer. Then, after going through several hard times I went to Bible school and got my degree. It wasn't until after I graduated that I realized that my relationship with God was the way that I wanted it, not as it really is according to the Word of God. So, logic has to be thrown out the window. Not because logic is bad, but because logic got me in my own mess to begin with. There is a place for logic, but not with faith. If you realize who you are in comparison to Jesus, you will quickly realize that you don't deserve the salvation that He gives. So when you make the choice to embrace who Jesus really is, (Savior), then you'll be able to see how he can set you free from idiosyncrasies that you just accept as "who you are" and start to see that you have created your own "gray" area of faith. Moving on. Even stepping outside of Leviticus, there are plenty of scripture verses that have to do with inappropriate behavior with your body…even in the New Testament. Jesus came to fulfill the law so that we could be in covenant relationship with him.  Romans 4 :13-16 “ It is clear, then, that God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was not based on obedience to God’s law, but on the new relationship with God that comes by faith. So if you claim that God’s promise is for those who obey God’s law, and think they are good enough in God’s sight, then you are saying that faith is useless. And in that case, the promise is also meaningless. But the law brings punishment on those who try to obey it. The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break! So that’s why faith is the key! God’s promise is given to us as a free gift. And we are certain to receive it, whether or not we follow Jewish customs, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe." Having a relationship with Jesus is much harder than following the rules because in a relationship is two sided. It is good to follow rules UNLESS they are contrary to God's Word. Look at Daniel! The reason why he's so famous is because he broke the law and prayed to God when he wasn't supposed to! Look at Jesus, he deified several of the Jewish laws according to the priests, yet he kept them all according to his father, our King! Please don't insult the Word of God by thinking, "well, it all depends upon interpretation" What a CROCK! Any two sided relationship doesn't depend on interpretation, it depends on communication! Just start in a relationship with Jesus today...a two way relationship. Then you to, will be FREE!
